What is Crowdict

Crowdict is a free daily “name something” trivia game with two ways to score the same ten prompts: Crowd, where the most common valid answer wins, and Rare, where the least common valid answer wins.

Crowdict launched its first Daily on Thursday, October 15, 2026 and is the new brand of the team that made Noillirk. If you knew Noillirk, Crowdict’s Crowd mode is that game; Rare mode is the team’s take on the Krillion idea. In the 22 Dailies recorded on this site so far, roughly 803,687 Crowd-mode runs were counted, and the most recent Daily (#22) alone drew 78,422.

Besides the Daily, Crowdict offers Unlimited runs of 10, 20 or endless prompts, eight topics from Music to Games & Life, a live Party mode for friends, private rooms with your own questions, and four visual “stages”: Sky Climb, Tabletop, Frozen Peak and Haunted Manor. The stage only changes the scenery; the prompts and your score stay the same.

How to play Crowdict

  1. Choose your scoring. On the start card pick Crowd (most common answers win) or Rare (rarest answers win). You can play the same Daily in both, and the scores are kept apart.
  2. Read the prompt. Each of the ten Crowdict prompts names a category, such as “Name an animal that lays eggs” or “Name a song by Queen”.
  3. Type one answer in 30 seconds. Press Enter to submit, or pass if nothing comes to mind. Plurals, common variants and small typos are recognised.
  4. See the reveal. Crowdict shows your band and points, and the top of that prompt’s board.
  5. Finish all ten and share. Your total is out of 2,500. Share it, or send a challenge link so friends can play the same prompts.

Crowdict scoring

Both Crowdict modes use the same five base scores with different band names. Where your answer sits on the prompt’s prepared popularity board decides its band:

Base pointsCrowd bandRare band
100#1 AnswerLone Wolf
75Runner-up (#2–#3)Hidden Gem
50Top 5 (#4–#5)Uncommon
25Top 10 (#6–#10)Common
10Off the BoardToo Popular (a top-5 answer)

Later Crowdict questions count more: questions 1–2 are ×1, 3–5 ×2, 6–8 ×3 and 9–10 ×4. That is why a perfect Daily is 2,500 points rather than 1,000, and why a strong finish can rescue a slow start. A pass or timeout scores zero.

Crowdict vs the daily alternatives

The Crowdict Daily is one shared set of ten prompts per date. Everything else in Crowdict is optional extra play:

The difference that matters most is Crowd vs Rare. On the most recent Daily, “Name a song by Queen” was a Crowd-mode gift: 79.5% of players said “Bohemian Rhapsody”. In Rare mode that same answer would be Too Popular. By contrast “Name a film genre or subgenre” split the room, with the top answer “Action” on only 27%. Our Noillirk hints page lists the full top five for every prompt of the latest Daily.

Tips to score higher in Crowdict

  1. In Crowd, type the answer a stranger would say first. Not your favourite, not the best: the first one. Yesterday’s data shows the #1 answer often takes 40–90% of all responses.
  2. In Rare, avoid the top five completely. Anything in a prompt’s five most popular answers is worth only 10 base points. Go for a valid answer at least one step off the obvious.
  3. Spend your time on questions 9 and 10. With the ×4 multiplier, a #1 Answer there is worth 400 points, as much as four #1 Answers in questions 1–2.
  4. Watch the wording. “A current MLB team whose franchise has won the World Series” excludes teams that never won. A guess outside the boundary scores nothing.
  5. Use Unlimited to learn the boards. Prompts come from a shared bank, so the more you play, the better you know what the crowd says.

FAQ

Is Crowdict free?

Yes. Crowdict is free in any phone or desktop browser with nothing to install and no account. Signing in with Google is optional and only sets a public name for leaderboards.

What is the difference between Crowd and Rare in Crowdict?

They use the same ten daily prompts but score in opposite directions. Crowd gives the most points to the most common valid answers; Rare gives the most points to valid answers few people give. Each mode keeps its own score and leaderboard.

When does the Crowdict Daily change?

A new Crowdict Daily arrives at midnight in your local time, so players in different time zones get it at different moments. Everyone on the same date plays the same ten prompts.

Is Crowdict the same game as Noillirk?

Crowdict is the new name and home for the team behind Noillirk. Noillirk’s crowd-answer game lives on as Crowdict’s Crowd mode, and Noillirk’s Krillion-style mode lives on as Rare.

Can I play Crowdict with friends?

Yes. Crowdict Party is a live room for 2–10 players with a four-letter code; the host picks 5 or 10 questions, a 15, 20 or 30 second timer and Crowd or Rare scoring. You can also send a challenge link so friends play your prompts later.

Where do the Crowdict answer percentages come from?

Scores during play use a board of popularity estimates prepared in advance. The “yesterday’s answers” figures, like the ones on this page, are a count of what players actually typed in the finished Crowd Daily.
